We are a family of Christians striving to glorify God by sharing the transforming power of His love with everyone around us.
Our MISSION
AN UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO GOD'S WORD
We want to KNOW GOD. We want to know Him personally and intimately… to know His will, His character, and His heart. And we believe the only way to truly know God is to listen to what He has told us about Himself in the Bible - His autobiography.
Our aim is that everything we do as a church be based on what God has revealed to us in the Scriptures. Our worship, work, organization, and teaching are not about our own personal preferences or ideas. The church doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to Jesus Christ and exists for His glory!
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10).
A Genuine love for each other
We want to BE LIKE GOD. Genuine knowledge of God should transform us from the inside out. Being disciples of Jesus isn’t just about knowing, believing, and teaching all the right things - it’s about living transformed lives… about God living in us and through us.
We pray that God’s love will always be evident among us and drive us towards selfless service. We want to be a family that sincerely cares for each other, supports each other, and helps each other grow to the glory of God.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).
A Passion for sharing the gospel
We want to POINT OTHERS TO GOD. We want everyone to experience the joy, hope, and peace of God’s transforming work in their lives. There is no greater news than what Jesus has accomplished for us through His death and resurrection - forgiveness from sin, renewal of God’s character within us, restoration of our fellowship with Him, and hope of eternal life in His presence. We believe the greatest way we can express God’s love to the community around us is by sharing the good news of salvation in Jesus.
Our goal is not to impress or attract people by what WE have to offer as a church, but by what JESUS has to offer. We pray that His light will shine through us and that others will be drawn to glorify Him through the work we do and the message we proclaim.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).
Our beliefs
Christian Unity
"There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:4-6).
"I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one, even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one" (John 17:20-22).
"Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment" (1 Corinthians 1:10).
Christian Teaching / Doctrine
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
"Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son" (2 John 9).
Salvation
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
"...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).
"He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned" (Mark 16:16).
"Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'" (Acts 2:38).
"For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death" (2 Corinthians 7:10).
"Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised form the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:3-4).
Church organization (Universal)
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth" (Matthew 28:18).
"And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Ephesians 1:22-23).
church organization (Local)
"And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, nor forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near" (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Elders / Pastors / Overseers - Entrusted with Souls
"Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder... shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock" (1 Peter 5:1-3; see also 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9).
Deacons - Entrusted with a Task or Ministry
"So the twelve summoned the congregation of the disciples and said, 'It is not desirable for us to neglect the word of God in order to serve tables. Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task" (Acts 6:2-3; see also 1 Timothy 3:8-12)
Evangelists / Preachers - Entrusted with the Gospel
"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction... you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry" (2 Timothy 4:2, 5)
